Producing Alum Distributing Oscar Pictures

Tanya Brum da Silva, a September 2007 alum from the New York Film Academy Producing School, is busy working for the LA based distribution company Menemsha Films. The company is known to distribute high quality art films and has been getting rave reviews across the country for representing projects including Kawasaki’s Rose, this years Czech entry for the Oscars. This week in New York Tanya will help open Nora’s Will (Cinco Dias Sin Nora) named Mexico’s Best Picture of the Year after taking home seven Mexican Academy Awards. The Mexican comedy follows Jose as he stays with the body of his ex-wife Nora until she can be buried properly. Congratulations to Tanya for your success in the industry since graduating from NYFA!
